Logion 70: Nativity
Yeshua says...
When you give birth
to that which is within yourself,
what you bring forth will save you.
If you possess nothing within,
that absence will destroy you.
I'm glad I came back to read your new poem to accompany Yeshua's words (thought those words "has been removed by a blog administrator" sound so ominous).
Read them with your "I" voice: "It is I." "Already,/ I am all I am born to be: I am alive in my Nativity!" There is your intentional thought. It is positive. It lets your "I" out.
Ooh, that does sound ominous, doesn't it. I thought it would just disappear, go down the drain; hadn't expected it to leave this ugly ring around the tub!
And of course now I can't resurrect it OR delete the ring.
Welcome to my Illustrated Guide to the Gospel of Thomas
These photographic meditations were developed over three years in response to the Gospel of Thomas. I post them here in hopes that they may help you find your way into the heart of these words of Jesus, and I extend my thanks to Lynn Bauman for his inspirational translation of this seminal work.
Now available on Amazon:
"This is indeed a great resource, from a person whose being is as lovely as her photography... It just goes to show that creativity is as valid a way of 'knowing' a text as is scholarly exegesis--and much more in the spirit of what was originally meant by 'gnosis,' or integral knowing." -- Cynthia Bourgeault

Sigh!
